Want to be awesome and learn a local haka?

Tau Ka Tau originates from a traditional haka that is common to the Waikato area. From the translations, we could assume that this is a poowhiri haka (haka of welcome).  However, as we have learnt, haka is about community, strength and unity, therefore could be performed to serve other purposes too.

Descending/ approaching
Descending upon Waikato, who await you here
And prepare for your arrival
There will be continuous battle
Give me your threats and I shall make short work of them, in the heat of battle
