EXPLORE AND DISCOVER

Your challenge is to search the internet for a video or article related to our new UOI!

You will need to be able to explain/justify how your article/video connects to our UOI. It could be connected to any part of our UOI; central idea, LOI, key concepts, attitudes, learner profiles or skills.

You will need to type up your explanation on a doc, and then post it on your blog.

Here is my example.

This video is connected to the line of inquiry: Why people explore.

This video is about James Cameron's DeepSea Challenge. James Cameron is a film director, however he has developed a deep curiosity for the exploring the depths of our sea. In an attempt to discover what lies at the bottom of the world's deepest trench- the Mariana Trench, he has gathered together leading experts in their fields to create and develop a submarine that can withstand the journey to bottom of the ocean, whilst keeping the humans inside safe. To do this they also had to explore new technologies as no one had created a submarine of this kind before. To do this they had to test and explore using different materials to discover what would be able to cope with he extreme pressures of the deep ocean.

James Cameron has shown independence in leading this pioneering expedition to the bottom of the sea. This isn't the first time James Cameron has explored the unknown, he also lead an expedition to the ship wreck of the Titanic to discover what was left of the famous ship.

To find out what he discovered at the bottom of the Mariana trench, we will have to watch his documentary!
